In regard to the Sodalite...I haven't yet had anything specific happen regarding 3rd eye but I have noticed that it has kept me calm in a few instances of extreme stress/aggravation last night and today.

I have also been having a lot of phone and computer interference and I can't figure out why because Sodalite is supposed to be good for those things, I thought. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

in regard to the pink dolomite - it is more rough rock than crystal, and I am now wondering if it is pink dalmation stone (a form of jasper.) Hard to tell as in the rough form it looks very similar. But regardless, I will get some for you. I will also find some quartzite for you (world's oldest rock!) it looks like it has been rolled in powdered diamonds I am actually going to be hunting for garnets as well - my DIL found a spear of garnet on a chunk of limestone in this same area! (Ice field mountain top)

Um...in regard to problematic communications...Mercury is currently retrograde, and will be till early August (8th). Things will calm down again after that...Mercury retrograde affects all forms of transportation and communication - expect snafus, delays, car problems, screen freezes - yeah, it's all in that bag

well, honestly I would be happy with anything you were kind enough to send. I believe in synchronicity and that everything happens for a reason so even if it turned out not to be Dolomite I will be okay with that wow! what an amazing find...maybe someday I can fly over and we will go "garnet hunting" together (shhhhh...be vewy, vewy quiet...I'm hunting crystals!)

GA! thank you so much for reminding me!!!! I actually told someone last week when I noticed how erratic people are driving and being that Mercury must be in, or going into, retrograde but I forgot to look it up! This makes perfect sense. Now I can remember to act accordingly!

In re the sodalite: Today I am going to combine my sodalite pendant with a tumbled howlite because yesterday I noticed I was having a lot of negative feedback in my head about certain people and things. As soon as I noticed it, I talked myself out of that loop, but decided I better get out the howlite to try and stem the tide. I am not sure if this is related to Mercury Retrograde, or perhaps a touch of PMS a wee-bit early (which is usually the time I get emotional, edgy, judgmental, and quick to anger-DUH!). I got out the howlite last night and slept with it under my pillow and do feel more like my "normal" calm, happy, centered self today. After using them both today I will probably then split off and use just the howlite (which has been calling to me for awhile for study purposes) so will start a separate thread for that when the time comes. I wonder if using them both together will make me so calm that I won't be able to stay awake?! LOL

hahahahaha! that was funny about the hunting I reread my geological texts and indeed the stone present in the Rockies (especially Mt Edith Cavell, where I am going) is Dolomite. And you are more than welcome to join me in rock hunting! Enough about that now! I am distracting you from Sodalite, and getting you off topic - sorry! ;p

As Sodalite stimulates logic and speech, I can see why it could veer off into negative self-chatter - logic can argue a lot ;p glad you refound your "wa"

ohhh, that statement made perfect sense to me! yes, I think maybe this negative self-chatter was related to sodalite's properties of helping release old or negative programming.

I also found that combining it with howlite seemed to be the perfect thing to keep all that old junk from popping up and making me angry or upset about present day people and events. Thankfully it did not make be so sleepy I couldn't function LOL But the combination did seem to calm me right down and help me to concentrate on enjoying and appreciating the "right now".

Ok today was mediation.

Sooooo.....I had my Sodalite, my haemetite, my howlite...and well last night I slept with a crystal and asked my guides for insight for today. I woke up in the middle of the night and had amber on my mind. So I also took amber and a little black stone I have.

Mediation went very well! No settlement but I wasn't expecting one. I had written out on a piece of paper what I wanted to say and didn't have to look at it. I got my points across and counter-acted the things the office manager was coming up with. The Postmaster was there too and he was getting upset and made statements about refusing to pay. So they made themselves look bad. LOL the Union Rep. wrote good job on an envelope he was holding and showed it to me while this was going on.

So wildchilde thank you so much for sharing your experience with sodalite. Without this I would of never thought of this crystal.

I read somewhere that Sodalite arrests panic attacks. A few days back, my partner had been showing signs of bad health - fainting spells, dizziness and all that. I took my sodalite out and would sleep with it in my hand. I notice that the panic attacks disappear and it seems to calm me down. When i wake up, i feel much better.

Does anyone have the same experience as me with their sodalite? I'd like to ask though, because the stone is hot when i let go of it after a night of it in my hand. Does it happen to anyone too? and what does it mean when the stone turns hot?

Thank you so much for sharing this as sometimes I have panic attacks...something I never used to have. I haven't really worked with sodalite other than taking it with me for my mediation...which went very well.

I'm not sure about it getting hot as far as what it means. Some of my crystals I've noticed will get hot even if only holding them for a very short time..while others will stay cool to the touch. Something I just thought of is I wonder if a stones element is fire if that would make a difference.

I have a sodalite bracelet made of chunks on an elastic string and I often cannot wear it for long, as the sodalite makes my wrist sweat! ;p so yeah, it's a hot little cool stone! lol!
