Hi sis!

Well, sorry, sweetie...but i haven't seen a Broom/Whip card that has really totally grabbed me, yet..
They need to stand out more; they get lost amongst all the other objects. While The image is attractive and shabby chic, the card is just to busy to show up the "Main Characters"--so to speak. The other objects compete.

The last bedroom one you posted was a joke, right? .

i absolutely LOVE the heart card!

Not sure about the Crossroads...it is a bit TOO pink. It needs something....:maybe a bit of green or?

Okay, my sis, i just made up some more versions of the whip/broom...
and hopefully you will like one of these new ones, if not, maybe you can send me some
better pubic domain photos that might work (that are also Shabby Chic)?

Re: Crossroad:
Yes the crossroads are really pink and that is mostly the 'actual' photo as it was seen
through the eyes of the photographer. i could lessen the pink but then it 'might' be too drab
or faded looking and not realistic anymore. The only other photos i came across in the public domain
were just plain nothing but roads, too many trees, or brick, or wooden, and either just
beige's or greens and nothing that shows shabby chic. This one if probably over the top
with the shabby chic, but i will work on it a little and see what i can come up with...

Love the crossroad- would probably be perfect if the lanes were brown rather than pink- which would give it less of an overly pink feel.

For the broom/whip- the second one is my favorite so far- simply because it has the broom/whip as more of a focal point than the rest.

The heart is cute- but, if you are interested in trying something else, a red heart might be neat- a sanguine type red, in a crushed velvet... just thoughts off the top of my head.

But..i do like #2 in the attachment which shows most of the samples; but as i mentioned earlier, i am concerned that the other objects kind of compete for attention.

Hopefully,i am wrong; i hope i am, because that image actually is my very favorite one. It is quite appealing to me visually...[and very Shabby Chic].

It might just be my small monitor. But it took me a while to notice the whip...

i also just ooked at the Crossroads again, and i really like it a lot more than i did at first. You could try to change the color of the road; but if not, i really do like it as it is. i was too hasty, i think...sorry.

i still LOVE the Heart card a lot! i would be very happy to have that one in this Shabby Chic deck!
