Sacred Sites is strange. Right now, this first day, it is giving me very little, but perhaps I just need to sit with it a while tonight and look it through. And read up on the places!
After coming to this site for years and hearing people talk glowingly about the Anna K, it was still not anything I wanted until recently. I had not seen many cards and most of the ones I did see did nothing for me. Someone posted something fairly recently just as an off handed comment that made me want it. How it was talked about made me think the deck was one of those things that was part of the family, part of what was always hanging around the house and made you feel at home when you were around it. I have many decks that I like a lot or even love that didn't meet my initial expectations after the package was opened. Anna K was a weird one...I didn't have specific expectations for once, but when opened the first time, it did have that homey, familiar feel I've wanted.

Sacred Sites - I got that recently too and seem to be having the same feel for it that you are.

I kind of bought the Anna K on impulse, based more on what people who loved it said about it than any sort of connection with the artwork. But once I read the LWB (not so little, though!), I started really liking the deck and once I worked with it, I loved it. There were several cards I never really "got" before, that I do get now, or think of differently, thanks to the Anna K. I can't imagine being without a copy of it now.

I have Sacred Sites as well. It's lovely, but I haven't really looked at it in-depth. Haven't even done a deck interview yet!

August has been very eventful for me, and there's still a week left in the month. After going more spiritual with the Anectral Path and deeper with my usual longterm companion the Maat this week (Maat is always present for important/meaningful events or questions), my mind feels curiously blank/neutral and I feel the need for something that demands less of me. But not in the same way as the effervescent, extroverted Robin Wood, which I chose for my Leo birthday this month for those attributes. I would like something more comfortable and mature.

And when you add in my strong affiliation with the seasons and the fact that in my part of the world, it is late summer, the logical choice is the good old DruidCraft, which has all those attributes: not too deep, but not sprightly and bubbly, either, and filled with the essence of late summer. Because this deck is the most requested (by a mile) by my querents, I have not read for myself with it in quite some time. It is my choice for this week.

I hope Chiska, Asbestos Mango, and others are in good health.

I had an absolutely cracking reading with this deck as my daily reading for today! So far, so good.

I really kept getting distracted by that silly little parrot in the corner. I found myself going through the deck just see what was next.
