Hi Blue!!! How are you enjoying your new abode??? Feel like home???

Don't forget the fire ring!! And the umbrella table!!

I'm watering my air plants - giving them a weekly bath - and just planted 3 pots of basil. Lettuce leaf in 2 and sweet in 1.

It's very still here... all the air has been sucked north into Leslie which isn't affecting us with wind or rain... we may have high surf later today/tomorrow. I'll grab a camera and head to the beach...see what the tide washes up.

G'Morning RM! Do you get strange things on the beach from the tides when the Atlantic is stirred up?

We can't move that fire ring, it came with the place. We're supposed to be getting one from the (new)landlady, they have an extra. The table is over here, but under pine trees, so the umbrella isn't up right now, but there's more shade.....and sticky little droplets of pine sap...

Scuse my ignorance but what exactly is a fire ring? Hi btw! Is it just a barbecue or something posher??

Hi Ellie! A fire ring is a metal circle usually about 3 feet across, 18 inches high, that you can build a small bonfire in. I'll go find a pic.....
In the background is the house we've just moved into.

Hey Blue - surely you can heave that next door? But if the landlady is willing to give you a new one *shrugs* Looks far more useful than a barbecue. Peeps here tend to go buy those chiminea things to keep warm - I prefer primitive myself. Like a bonfire

Been novel-writing / pastelling / reading Earth Girl rapaciously all day so far. Gonna do a spot of work now while lunch wears off.
