What does Queen&King mean besides the obvious female/male?
I would like to know what does Queen and King means besides the energy of a male or female? What else does it talk about beside the person's gender? Like, let's say I asked: Will the lady that helping me find a job, actually have better luck at finding a job for me than I did finding one on my own? I got Queen of Wands. Well yes, the lady is a woman but would it say yes? Or...if I asked how does my dad feel about taking me to the show REALLY? Got King of Cups(let's say), would say how he feels? :/ Last edited by CelestialHorse; 05-09-2012 at 06:04. Reason: Found my answer but still confused about Q & K |

And Cups are watery emotions--moody, emotional type emotions, including warm ones like love. So a King (master) of Cups means that your Dad probably felt very fatherly indeed towards you--that he loved doing this "dad" thing for you and with you. As for Kings/Queens and the difference....I like cooking so I'll use a cooking metaphor. The Kings are the chefs/restaurant owners, coming up with new recipes, creating the menu, tasting everything before it goes out, deciding how the dining room will be decorated. They make sure the whole dining experience is right--waiters, food, ambience; the big picture. Queens are the Sous-Chef. Their concern is the kitchen--the most important and crucial part of the picture, the engine room. They make sure that what the Chef wants done gets done, but they also make sure that any problems the cooks have are taken care of as well. They keep the kitchen--the heart of the restaurant--beating. The Knights are the cooks. They don't invent the dishes (the recipe is not theirs), but they make it and send it out. They deliver the message from the chef to the customer--and "fight" for the superiority of their chef, as it were. And the Pages, of course, are the busboys, doing the dishes, fetching and carrying--keeping things clean so that everyone else can do their job, and learning how to cook in the meantime. Does that help? |

Yeah I can see how a yes or no question could be hard sometimes :/ It would be confusing in a way :/ Heh about the Cups and Wands that does make sense, as cups are more about emotions and wand is more security and what not. Love the food idea thing, it really brings me to understand things a bit better Especially with kings and queens. It does help a bit yes Thanks

Other than that, well you'll get arguments for why the Kings should be the cardinal signs or the fixed signs or the mutable signs, arguments for why the Queens should be the fixed, mutable, cardinal signs, for why the Knights should be the mutable, fixed, cardinal signs. In some decks you'll see the Queen/Cups with a crab and in others she'll have a fish symbol on her throne. And it does matter if you're trying to figure out who that Queen/Cups is in your reading. If your deck has a Queen/Cups with a fish sign on her throne--and you've decided to go along with the deck, then she's your Aunt the Pisces. Alternately, if you've decided that all Queens are fixed signs and she's a Scorpio (no matter what the deck says), then she's your boss the Scorpio. Many times a court card comes up and we can't figure out who the deck is talking about. In such insistences, knowing the zodiac sign can be very useful. |
