Ok, I had to try too. Gilded Tarot, no reversals.

For Obama: King of Pentacles, 2 of Pentacles, Strength
For Romney: Knight of Wands, Devil, Justice

Based on this, I would expect an Obama win. The King of Pents is secure and confident in his current position and looks up and ahead to his next work. The 2 of Pents indicates that Obama is able to juggle the demands of various constituents and the card has a rainbow behind the figure, indicating a bright outcome. And lastly, Strength to me means he will be able to persuade a majority to his views.
The Knight of Wands for Romney seems to say he currently has a lot of energy, but lacks staying power. The Devil indicates he's only in it for himself, too attached to material things and seen as such by the voters. And Justice, I just don't have a good feeling about it in this context. It seems, hm, severe, next to the Devil.

Disclaimer: I think neither one is good for the country, but I'm undecided as to who is the lesser evil, but leaning slightly towards Romney.

For Obama I got:

For Romney I got:

Temperance, Four of Pentacles, Six of Cups

Based on this reading I'd say there's an Obama win. I'm a little too headachey and tired to explain my interpretations of each card right now though.

(I'm not heavily biased: I want Obama to win, I think Romney will win, the cards suggest that Obama will win.)

I think that some things are too fluid to be predicted. Even random incidents at the party conventions can affect a candidates popularity. For example, the inexcusable mistreatment of a CNN camerawoman at the RNC could further reduce Romney's portion of the all-important African-American vote. I did a yes-no procedure with a deck of playing cards, which indicated that Obama has a slight edge, but this could easily change. Since I am personally biased in favor of a Democratic victory, I don't trust my objectivity in reading a three-card Tarot spread.

Yes, I understand this. Once again this is why this thread is in the Experimental Techniques, its not to be taken seriously, just an experiment to see how many get an "Obama win" or a "Romney Win". I swear I thought I made myself clear. This isn't a debate, or a conspiracy thread, its to just experiment with everyone's skills about such a fickle event.

I gave this a try and well, right off I'll just say that I AM biased...I SO hope that there aren't 4 more years of Obama...but...my reading is telling me that Obama is going to win...again...sigh....

This is an experiment to see how many of you get a "Romney win" or an "obama win". I think it will end being really close and that is why we're having trouble deciding on the outcome in our readings about this.

i'll play. but i agree with you about romney-- i think he will take it. i recall cayce making a prediction of sorts regarding a mormon in the office or something around this time, too, so that's what i'm leaning towards before i even draw the cards.

It does seem like most people are getting an obama win. It makes sense anyhow. I think america is becoming more open-minded about things (Gay marriage?, Occupy Wallstreet?) but we still have a long way to go.

I don't live in USA and dont really care for politics - however without picking up the cards my "gut" is telling me that Obama will win...

I will revisit this after the election to see if my "gut" was correct.

Hey you know guys... the six of wands in the first reading could indicate the Democratic and Republican conventions. So before the conventions romney had a lead and after the conventions obama has more of a lead.
