Using Love-Themed Tarot Decks for Readings
I am interested in personal feedback about experiences and preferences for using Love-themed Decks when doing Relationship Readings and also about using them for Readings on other subjects. Do you find a new layer of insight in Romantic Readings with these cards? How about in Other Readings? Which Love Deck is your favorite or most helpful? Thank you! |

My two favourite love-based decks though would have to be my Heart Tarot (heart-shaped) and my Lovers' Path Tarot. To me all Tarot decks are wonderfully and beautifully eloquent. They can all say almost infinite things. At least all the ones I hace are. Some decks, imo, are not great examples of Tarot. If in a romantic reading, you feel called to use a romantic deck, then there is a reason you were called to it and it likley will add something. Whatever deck you feel called to will be the one that will answer you the best in that particular reading. At least, those are my feelings on that. Yes, romantic decks can be used for any kinds of questions. IF that feels like the deck in a reading than it is. You didn't exactly ask this, but also the erotic decks can, at times, also be very useful in certain types of romantic questions, especially in questions about your love-life. And they too can be used in any kind of reading at all. Babs __________________ "Although science stops at the borders of logic, nature does not. To be honest I don't really find myself doing that many romance/love focused readings. The relationship readings I tend to do - and like to do - are often about friends, family members, roommates, foes, coworkers, etc rather than love/romance ones. When I received The Lovers' Path Tarot I thought that this would encourage me to be more in the mood for romantic/love readings but I have only used it for a few readings. I think I get too caught up in understanding the stories behind the cards. I remember using the Lovers' Path to do a reading regarding my young daughter and one or two involving my relationship with my husband. But I (at least at this time) wouldn't find myself using it for other topics unless maybe I was doing a love reading for a querent. I also have the Sexual Magic Tarot but I've only used it for basically one reading. I found the reading confusing and the imagery was distracting (and not in a good way.) I personally don't see myself using it for anything but romantic/sexual type of questions but that's just me. For some reason I've found the Fenestra to be wonderful for relationship readings and for examining romantic undertones. Perhaps it is because of its simplicity. I also like the Medieval Cats for those type of readings as well. But in terms of relationship type of readings I really think that a variety of decks work great. I've also enjoyed using two oracles that are very romantic, Little Reminders: Love And Relationships and Cards Of Love. __________________ "No, I think I'll just go down and have some pudding and wait for it all to turn up... I agree about the Tarot of Sexual Magic, but I have a sexual chemistry spread I intend to try with it later on today. I may or may not find that it works for that, either. Love and sex are not the same, so that's probably why the Sexual Magic deck isn't very pertinent in a relationship reading. Relationships are emotional and mental, while sex is just an appetite fulfilled by a physical act that can be an expression of love, although it isn't always. A love-themed deck is different than an erotic, sexually-oriented deck. I'd think that a love-themed deck would be very useful for all types of readings, but especially relationship readings. __________________ Check out the A. Nonny Mouse Thread! Thank you for your replies! I've been without internet for a several days! Yes, I have been unsure of using a romantic deck so far, but I've begun to feel pulled towards lover's path. As for erotic decks, I did a one card draw with one at a mystical shop to try it out and let's just say it was alarmingly on the money lol! |
