Using the cards to generate the question(s)
A few days ago, I thought, "What are other ways I can interact with the cards besides self-readings?" This was especially the case because I do not like to exhaust the same subjects with multiple readings; once I have read on a subject, I consider it to be the final word for at least a few months, usually much longer. Then I thought, "what about a twist on a reading, even for oneself? How about if I make the cards generate the questions?" I took the Buckland Romani I had on me and chose a card that I designated as Question 1. It was a smirking, pleased-with-himself Page of Swords employed as a knife-thrower at a carnival. I interpreted the question to mean "Why is a person I know so cavalier in the face of a dangerous situation?" Then I drew a card for the answer. Anyone ever try this? Care to post some examples and describe how you arrived at the question based on the card you drew? |

Thanks for posting that. I don't have the Legacy of the Divine, but is that the one where the Knights are just masks, not people? I am interested to know if that question occurred to you entirely due to the card you pulled, or if that situation--the argument--was already on your mind from something else going on in your life. I'll be honest about how it worked for me: my mind rushed to come up with a "Question" that was related to events currently happening in my life. But because we are never truly "a blank slate" and because our subconscious is always actively working, I'd say it's hard to avoid coming up with a question that's not related to something currently going on in your life or mind. |

Yes, and yes. I am quite a bit worried about money these days, because almost everything that can say goodbye in mye house have said so and I lack money to buy new. |

Wow, this excercise is seriously powerful stuff. I can tell Im going to have a lot of fun with this in the future, many thanks for sharing this! Tarot of St Petersburg 4 of Coins Q: What are you invested in? Seven Coins Queen of Swords Four of Cups Shadow: Six of Cups Sometimes we mistake our value as working members of society with the forunes we amass. Instead, we should measure our worth by the amount of fortune we can afford to share with another. The true value of work is the energy expended, material possesions being a by-product of this expended energy. Therefore we must carry on this momentum lest we risk this energy becoming stagnant. Im gonna do a bunch more, Ill post another if its especially interesting. Thanks again! __________________ P. ositive E. nergy A. ctivates C. onstant E. levation |

I see you've put your own spin on things by doing a full three-card reading, with a shadow card no less, in response to the question generated by your cards. It didn't occur to me to pull more than one answer card, so thanks for the innovation. As to the power of the technique--it's all in the reader doing the interpretation, my friend, as you've evidenced here with your impressive reading of cards others might read on a more mundane level. Please feel free to post more uses of this "question generator." |

Its just one of those things thats so simple I cant believe its not common practice. We have a deck of cards that gives us information on anything we can think of....... but no one thought to ask the cards about themselves? __________________ P. ositive E. nergy A. ctivates C. onstant E. levation |
