Many people find the Thoth very easy to read, in spite of the somewhat lurid, almost ostentatious use of deeply esoteric symbolism. I rather suspect it's because of the titles on the pips, which refer to astrological decans but often are simplistically taken to be keywords. |

It's odd ... I can't read with the Thoth! At least ... not yet. Maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance ...And I have never truly studied it. ![]() But this is why some decks work for some and not for others. This is one of those decks that I do think I *need* to study one day ... And even play with more. Just to see if maybe things have changed, and maybe it is more readable for me now. __________________ LOL I:1. Oh hai. There are a lot of good tarot decks ... Anna K, DruidCraft, and Hanson-Roberts Tarot Decks are all very easy intuitive reading decks, I think. They have a really good vibe with them and they just "speak" to me. It is a good thing because I had a German version of the LWB with my first edition of Anna K. I never looked at meanings of the DruidCraft. My Hanson-Roberts deck didn't even come with a LWB. So... luckily they were great intuitive reading decks. I like having those that way and bought the DruidCraft solely for that purpose. I also like Tarot of the Master, but the pip cards do not have people on them which bothered me a lot at first. The Major Arcana though are so easy to read. I do like the Mythic Tarot, but I had to learn the card meanings with the Gods/Goddesses/etc and their stories. I absolutely LOVE that deck! ![]() BeyondtheVeil |
