Our next meeting will be December 1, same time, same place (12:30pm, Crystal City Hamburger Hamlet back room).

This will be our annual tarot swap/holiday gift exchange, so please bring a wrapped deck, book, or other tarot item to exchange! (Used items are encouraged!)

(And bring a little extra cash for a holiday tip for Joseph, our waiter, if you like.)

Meetings in 2013 will all be the first Saturday of every month, except the July meeting will be on July 13 (to avoid the holiday weekend). Dues are $2 per meeting or $15 for the year. What a bargain! And there are still plenty of openings for presentations, so think about signing up to make a presentation!

(Wow, I see I missed posting for January. Sorry, folks! So THIS will be our new year post!)

The next meeting of the Washington, DC Tarot Society will be Saturday, February 2, at 12:30 pm. The presentation will be by Julie. (No groundhogs will be involved. As far as I know . . .)

All tarot lovers are welcome!

Here is a recap of all our basic information for the beginning of a new year:

Meetings are on the first Saturday of each month (except holiday weekends). (See the official list of 2013 dates below.) We meet at the Crystal City Hamburger Hamlet (right at the Crystal City metro stop).

We start at 12:30pm with lunch, then have a presentation by a member, which usually includes a reading, and then read for each other or chat or whatever!

Dues are now $3 per meeting or $20 for the year. Still a bargain!

Meeting Dates for 2013 (All Saturdays):
January 5, February 2, March 2, April 6, May 4, June 1, July 13 (Second Saturday due to 4th of July holiday), August 3, September 7, October 5, November 2, December 7 (Annual Tarot Swap)

I'm presenting this time. Here's my blurb:

Tarot’s Cardinal Virtues: Angels Unawares?

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2.

Three of the four cardinal virtues are included in the major arcana by name. And (depending on the deck) there are several angels. In this presentation, we will focus on the archangels hidden in plain sight as virtues, the secret identity of the “missing” fourth virtue, and what it all means for us.

I don't know if it will be good, but it will be fun, so come on by. We'd love to see you there!
