Hello from Paris
Hello everyone, I'm Vaslav from Paris. I've been wandering through the Aeclectic tarot forum for a while.. and thought it was time to do the leap and join the discussions. I've been reading tarot since my teens, mostly the Tarot de Marseille. I'm very fond of it, althought sometimes I feel a bit inhibited by its archaic and rigourous iconography. Well, it's at the same time empowering and it makes one feel shy, right ?! Now I'm thinking of getting another deck that could trigger news ways to relate to the arcana and the practice of reading. Any suggestions welcome ! Glad to be around. V* |

welcome, Vaslav! Glad you decided to join in with us all here. I'm not familiar with the deck you mention. I've heard of it, but never saw it in person. As for getting another deck--it is such a personal thing, I think, really. What interests you? Perhaps checking out the cards here on this site by selecting the 'cards' icon in the upper right hand corner of the site here will help you. however, I will list a few of my favorites- the Golden Tarot by Kat Black The Robin Wood The Druid Craft The Paulina Tarot Legend of the Arthurian Tarot Old English Tarot for a few that I like reading with. there are so many great decks out there. There is definitely something for everyone!

Hi Vaslav, and welcome to the AT boards! ![]() It's hard to recommend decks when there are so many to choose from - and like celticnoodle said, it's very much a matter of personal preference. ![]() Still, I'll throw a few out there: The Tarot of the Elves The Archeon Tarot The Pictorial Key to the Tarot I have the Hadar Tarot de Marseille. I haven't read with it yet, but hope to give it a try someday. ![]() Happy journey! __________________ I'm a Wand who needs more Coin. |

Thank you for your greetings and advices ! Wao, so many choices, so many styles.. One could spend a lifetime browsing through the cards section of the site, and still be unsure... I guess the physical contact with the cards is also important.. Wishing you well ! V* |

Hello Vaslav and welcome ![]() I too started with the Tarot of Marseille. Then I found this forum! I've just bought the Golden Tarot by Kat Black and love it. This is the deck I'm going to try to get to know really well. I want to mix what I learnt with the Marseille and what I've read about the Rider Waite whilst still using a deck with medieval art. But there's so much choice!!!!!! Enjoy the hunt

Bonjour Vaslav, quel plaisir de vous rencontrer! There are so many decks out there, but here is my experience - the more different decks and types of decks you try, the better and more enriching your reading talent becomes. New decks open new intuitive doors Welcome, you will have fun here, I am certain! __________________ L' éssentiel est invisible pour les yeux. - Antoine de St-Exupéry, Le Petit Prince. I'm not needy.
