Well, I've started really learning and got my first deck sometime in 2007, and I've been learning and learning ever since, especially because I also do reverals so it's double the learning material. How long have you been reading the cards?

I'm always happy to meet Tarot enthusiasts. ^^

I've been reading the cards for a couple of months now, but I haven't really gotten that far into it. I am particularly interested in it's structure and it's inner workings so I guess I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to studying. My long term goal is to create a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious mind, so Tarot fit the bill perfectly. I knew it as soon as I set my eyes on my first tarot deck ever (Thoth Tarot, via ebay... ).

I find reversals really hard to get so I use dignities, as I am more familiar with elements and the hermetic way of thinking. Not to mention that the Thoth wasn't designed to work with reversals, as far as I know.

I am not very familiar with the Thoth, I've started with Rider-Waite and I'm pretty faithful to it and its variations. I've started recently with oracles with a deck I got from an exchange here on the forum.

I've always seen the decks as some sort of very honest therapists - I've learned to accept them. XD

I have the same impression, but with a more personal note. The cards are mirrors that reflect my unconscious mind, but also doors to different levels of perception.
