Think about these decks is that it can be a fun project, even a personal one, to take one of your favorite authors and see what you can find. True there most likely is no market for decks like these but using the tarot like an outline can help you look at things in a different way. I have a chalk board going right now with various ways that Wagner's Ring Cycle can fit the tarot. Oddly enough there is almost too much in that piece to get it all in. I also have a little word document keeping track of certain moments from Jules Verne novels that I am reading because I think THAT is the TRUE steampunk deck yet to be made.

Since we are all being creative here, I realize there is no tarot deck yet on great composers and musicians. If there was one, I would make Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart my Fool and maybe Claude Debussy the Knight of Cups. Franz Lizst can be the Chariot and Beethoven the Hermit. George Gershwin would be my Page of Wands. Chopin can be the King of Cups. Kenny G would most likely be the knight of wands and so on...I am still figuring out who the magician would be... on second thought, john, paul, george and ring would be pages. Andrew LLoyd Weber can be the Magician, after all, he is quite versatile with composition of different music genre. Maybe some of the famous compositions can be the minor arcana.

I like this idea a lot, but I would leave the majors unnumbered as for me Kenny G would be the devil. The deck majors could be numbered by the person who bought them

I am clamoring for a remake of the Lord of the Rings Tarot. Something deep and meaty, rich with symbology, that we could sink our teeth into. Exquisite artwork that would evoke gasps of wonder. A timeless quality that would make it a classic deck for the ages. Something we could study, and study again, and still find something new to ponder each time!

Older classics could be cool as well, since they are practically what Tarot is based on. A combination Iliad and the Odyssey deck would be wonderful. Although the RWS is influenced by it, a more overt and less secretive Grail legends deck could be amazing.

Also I've always noted the absence of an Old Testament deck. Lots of Jesus decks though.

The Old Testament would be interesting. Samson might be strength? What would Solomon be? David? Adam and Eve would be lovers? Serpent is Devil? Josha might be Knight of swords. What do we do with the prohets Jeremiah and Isaiah?

Maybe Solomon would be the Hierophant? Samson would be an interesting Strength, going back to the roots of the card (in the Sola Busca, it depicts Hercules). On the other hand Moses, as the lawgiver could also be the Hierophant, with Solomon as the Magician perhaps. I have some free time tonight, I'll try to go over the cards and think about this.

The minors could be events, with the Three of Swords being the fall of Adam from Eden. Somebody who knew enough (not me!) could actually go into the symbolism Kabbalistically and associate different elements to different paths and sephiroths. It could be a devastatingly complex deck
