I don't know about a crystal but Valerian root may help you sleep right through the night without the sleep paralysis episodes. Some people find it effective. Also good quality lavander essential oil, just a couple of drops on a hankerchief by your pillow will help too.

I would be very careful with lavander or any other essential oil. Some people (like myself) have an extreme allergic reations to certain fragrances such as lavender. It can give horrible headaches, cause difficulty breathing, or in extreme cases cut off your air supply by swelling in your throat. That's not something you want to try to sleep next to until you know how you will react to the oil. Never put the oil on your skin unless you know you can handle it. Like Milfoil said - put just a drop or two on a hankerchief so you can get it away from you if you should have trouble with the fragrance. __________________ Raeanne - "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is becuase he hears a different drummer. One theory on sleep paralysis is that it is spirit contact. So any grounding crystal so as to disable psychic ability so to speak may be helpful. I have had sleep paralysis and it is awful. It happens with me if I don't ground and centre after meditation or if my mind is particularly creatively stimulated and buzzing. You could look into and maybe try charoite, moonstone, smokey quartz, amethyst. These were listed in The Crystal Bible as helping with sleep disturbances. You may want to do some reading on them as they may be able to help. |

I've not had a sleep paralysis episode for several years since I started taking Melatonin and Valerian before going to bed. However, strangely enough, an exception occurred early this morning in connection with an anxiety dream. My bag of "sleep stones" under the pillow didn't help either. Too bad about the Canadian ban on Melatonin. It's really good stuff! Maybe I should hoard a supply of it in case the US decides to follow suit. |

Just to clarify when you say sleep paralysis, do you mean "Astral catalepsy"? Because astral catalepsy, the jerk-reacking caused by the soul rentering the body too quickly after astral travel is easily helped. it used to happen to me alot, not before bed, just ask archangels, jesus, god/dess to make sure your souls transition is smooth, safe and easy when it goes in and out of your body. The problem was solved as easily as that for me. If you mean something else happens to you, please explain. Brightest Blessings, farida |
