--- to burn, to glow.
--- pr.n. "Might".

Bhagavad Gita II:31-33

31. Recognizing your inherent duty, you must not shrink from it. For there is nothing better for a warrior than duty-bound war.
32. It is a door to heaven, opened fortuitously. Fortunate are the warriors, Partha, who are presented with such a war.
33. But if, careless of your inherent duty and renown, you will not undetake this duty-bound conflict, you shall transgress.
Or as William Shakespeare said:This above all: to thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.
These verses always seem so timely for me. I've just recently realized how careless I've really been.

I should point out that within the context of the Bhagavad Gita, "inherent duty" probably has more to do with the Hindoo caste system than anything else. But from a Thelemic point of view the guiding impulse is the Will, not an externally imposed system.

I remembered the verse number. I just forgot all about good old Bill Heidrick for a few days.

But there is a balance I struggle to find between my orbit and others. And picking my battles vs standing up for myself. Understanding the difference between letting go and stuffing. True war vs ego projection. And sometimes all those other stars seem very external and oposing and sometimes they seem just like more Nuit.
