Thayer Tarot & Witches Runes

After much research, thought and consideration, my hand went to the Thayer Tarot (wasn't even on the list). I'd like to sign up with witches runes, too. Thank you, Elendil.

I'm in this week with the Dragon Tarot by Nigel Suckling.

The Book of Thoth Etteilla is proving to be... interesting, I guess is the word. I'm a little baffled by the whole thing but I've been reading some threads here and some pages from Villa Revak and I'm making a little bit of progress (I suppose!).

I haven't been in a mood for much tarot at all this week so hardly even touched the 2012 deck.

Perhaps time to just let the decks rest a few days.

i'm liking working with the fenestra even less than i expected...
i think i've been getting pickier with decks over time. art alone not counting for as much as it used to when it feels like there is a...distinct lack of substance...

99% of the decks I've passed on or sold have been for this exact reason - bought them because they were beautiful but let them go because they had as much substance as a wispy bit of smoke. The "Deck of the Week" group helps a lot in separating the wheat from the chaff.

I keep coming so close to getting the Zombie Tarot for next week, but for some reason I don't make the purchase. Don't know why, maybe tomorrow

I had a very accurate reading with the Boho Goth, I am very encouraged about it. I have a friend coming over tonight and I may do a three card reading for her to see how it goes. The Fallen Angel Oracle was pretty accurate too! I'm pleased!

Happy to hear both your decks for the week are working. I have the Zombie Tarot but haven't tried to use it.

Yes, the Fenestra is pretty, but . . .

I liked the art when I bought it and really wanted to like the deck. There is nothing that really draws me to it though. It's okay as a reading deck, but I have dozens of other decks that I prefer to use that I do feel a real connection with.

Dragon Tarot is ok. The art is pretty and I feel it's trying to tap into some interesting European ideas about dragons and the elements. I wish the book was longer. i'm going to check out the website. The (sort of) unillustrated minors seem very RWSish.
