I'm enjoying my Thoth quite a bit! Nice change after getting nothing from last week. Although I'm running into my usual problem with keywords/titles that give an indication f the card's meaning - I tend to stop interpreting with the keyword and stop thinking beyond it about what I see in the card, what the art says, etc. And the whole thing feels very pat. But I've been doing daily readings at the end of the day (what I did well, what I should leave behind, what to take with me into tomorrow, what to look forward to tomorrow), and that's been pretty fun. |

.I'm in love with The Tarot of Prague 2nd edition. It reads magically, effortlessly and almost poetically much like my Victorian Romantic. I also found out that I had a Tarot of Prague Baba bag that I didn't even know was from the deck at the time of my trade . Now the deck is housed inside. It has inspired me as well: I spent time today setting up my new blog. I had one in 2009 and was passionate about it and then left it abandoned. Now? Fresh start and I am only keeping the blog. No Facebook. No Twitter. I do that all day at work. Just plain old fashioned writing. I also organized my Tarot dresser/bureau that houses most of my decks. Then I took a small mini storage unit that looks like a mini travel case/suitacse and put all of my favorite decks in it, maybe 20 or so. I also organized my Tarot/metaphysical shelf in one of my bookcases. It feels great to have everything set-up this way. My next project is clearing a shelf in my room to use as an area to display my Cedar wooden single card display made my AT's own WalesWoman. Here's the thread from awhile back. This is the one that I bought: https://www.etsy.com/transaction/89473702. I'll also put out some crystals--the few that I have--as well as other items. ETA: I cleaned up the shelf area a bit and placed the stand there and I put my weekly draw from the Oracle deck, I have decided to use, The Enchanted Map Oracle. I'll leave it there all week long to reflect on it. It's a stunning deck I thought that I'd never like, so not my taste. The mini boom that came with it is too new-agey for me, but the cards are beautiful. Speaking of which, (see next post)... Last edited by aurarcana; 15-10-2012 at 13:24. |

Elendil, can you add an oracle deck next to my Tarot selection? The Enchanted Map Oracle Thanks! I'm only drawing one card a week, but focusing on it all week. |

See, and that's another one I've never even really looked at. Saw the artwork and thought "eh, nothing ground-breaking here" and moved on. But so far my favorite decks are ones I didn't think would be so beloved to me! |

auracana- I always feel great after I organize my Tarot/spiritual stuff. It's funny how I can let the rest of the house go to pot, but I have to have my spiritual goodies all organized and well-kept. I almost never have a dusty altar! I'm in LOVE with your Tarot card stand. I'm going to have to check out that etsy shop later today. I'm about to rush off to work in a few! |

that is indeed a lovely card stand. What deck is the card in it from? https://www.etsy.com/transaction/89473702 It feels Roots of Asia, Margarete Petersen-ish but I don't recognize the font or the image. |

I used to have that deck, but traded it away. Gorgeous cards, but they all started to look the same after awhile due to the artwork. I did a great trim job on it too: off with the keywords, since I hate them so. And I trimmed the side borders. There are photos of it in the deck trimming thread that you set-up, AJ. |

I just had what can only be described as a fairly amazing first reading with the Arcana Stones (made by rachelcat here on the board) which I used to communicate with my father who has passed away. What I mean is, I used the stones to think about him and ask the stones a question. Someone in Talking Tarot a short while back mentioned "afterlife communication tarot spreads" and I decided this week I would try one of those, and in conjunction with that, I would also use an oracle, with the same idea in mind. __________________ LOL I:1. Ludy Lescot doesn't seem to want to be my friend, LOL. It's not awful, but I'm not connecting with it like I'd hoped. Ah well. __________________ *Ad Astra* |
