What is the maximum time alowed to submit reply?

Sorry if this is somewhere else. I am not a very quick post responder and I have found twice now that having spent agood amount of time contructing the most inciteful post I can, my time has been wasted, when I have found that I am no longer signed in and it is all lost. I must have been signed in to compose the relpy to start with. Sorry if I am being dumb, but it is putting me off any further intertaction on the forum. Is there any max time allowed before this happens or can you save posts in progress and return to them when convenient? I have not been a forum member before and sorry if this common-knowledge. thanks for any help in this.

hmmm, I have posted some long, drawn out, time consuming posts and have never been booted off. I wonder if it is your computer settings? I am pretty ignorant when it comes to technology, though...so hopefully someone else has a clue.

I don't know of any time limits.

However, I take the precaution of composing lengthy posts (such as readings in the Readings Circle) in a word-processing program (e.g., Word). That way I can save, and edit, and just generally fuss to my heart's content without losing anything.

Then, when the post is ready for publication, I copy and paste it into one of these white boxes.

try checking the save box near your password-then when u actually want to log click log out. Amazingly a lot of times if i hit the back button what i wrote is still there-try it next time ur logged out-go log in then hit the back button-u might be surprised. other than that type in ur word processor and cut n paste when ur ready.

I can't add that much to the above posters. As far as I know there is no time limit.

Really, try the browser 'Back' button, your post is often still in memory.

If I have a long post, especially a reading, I compose it in an email or word processor program, keeping it saved and then cut and paste. Or, before you try to post, select & save the message (cntrl A then cntrl S). Then if nothing else it is Clipboard memory.

Try deleting all of your Cookies, it will be under Options in your browser. Then next time you come it, as was mentioned above, make sure the Saved box is ticked.
