Thanks!

Continuing my goal of adding color to the shop, today I worked on two stones.

For starters, I have two Carnelian teardrops, so I made a pendant out of the first one. Carnelian is such an energetic stone. It's fun to work with.

When I did my research on Tree Agate, I found out something interesting. Its nickname is Druid Stone. I never knew that.

Is the wire wrapping hard on your wrists? (asks the man with carpal tunnel syndrome).

I've had carpal tunnel symptoms for years, too, which is why it's hard to separate any impact that the wire-wrapping has on my hands from the way they normally feel.

But I've learned the hard way to limit the number of pieces that I make in a given session. So maybe that's one way I've adapted to the fact that if I overwork my hands, they are guaranteed to get grouchy.

Thank you. And yes, they are. I think you can find the link to my Etsy shop by clicking on my user ID.

Eight more competed pendants today.

Top row: Blue Howlite ("Chalk Turquose"), Red Aventurine, Zebra Jasper
Second row: Black Onyx, A green stone that I'm going to ask about in another thread, Picture Jasper, Leopardskin Jasper (I think -- this one's going in the other thread, too)
Bottom: Carnelian

Rose Quartz! Yay! Man, the treasure-hunt I had to go on to get material to work with. I guess it's because this is such a popular stone, but the three main places that I normally get my jewelry supplies from were chronically out of stock with their rose quartz items.

But I was asked about making rose quartz often enough that I decided to expand my search, and lo and behold -- I did find a couple places that I could buy it from. So I placed orders, and they started coming in this week.

Hence, I celebrated by starting to make rose quartz pendants.

More Rose Quartz. My flower-shaped focal beads came in, and I am extremely happy to see that they are highly gemmy and translucent. That's my favorite kind of Rose Quartz, so I was even happier than usual as I worked with this material.

Working with and handling stones while wire-wrapping allows jewelry makers to benefit from having the energies of those stones near at hand. It also helps us get the balance of the jewelry piece "just right", on the visible AND non-visible level. In this case, the balance of the feminine, soft, pink energies of the stone, plus the feminine aspects of the silver, make a positive combination.

Fall colors abound with Yellow Jade. :-) One of my order is single-terminated; the others are double-terminated.

Do you do repairs? (Do you solder?) Your lovely yellow jade pendants reminded me of something in my jewelry box.
