Thanks! Continuing my goal of adding color to the shop, today I worked on two stones. For starters, I have two Carnelian teardrops, so I made a pendant out of the first one. Carnelian is such an energetic stone. It's fun to work with. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps88dff3b2.jpg When I did my research on Tree Agate, I found out something interesting. Its nickname is Druid Stone. I never knew that. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psabb615a7.jpg __________________ Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours. -- Richard Bach |

I've had carpal tunnel symptoms for years, too, which is why it's hard to separate any impact that the wire-wrapping has on my hands from the way they normally feel. But I've learned the hard way to limit the number of pieces that I make in a given session. So maybe that's one way I've adapted to the fact that if I overwork my hands, they are guaranteed to get grouchy. __________________ Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours. -- Richard Bach |

Rose Quartz! Yay! Man, the treasure-hunt I had to go on to get material to work with. I guess it's because this is such a popular stone, but the three main places that I normally get my jewelry supplies from were chronically out of stock with their rose quartz items. But I was asked about making rose quartz often enough that I decided to expand my search, and lo and behold -- I did find a couple places that I could buy it from. So I placed orders, and they started coming in this week. Hence, I celebrated by starting to make rose quartz pendants. ![]() http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...EAB6244E33.jpg __________________ Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours. -- Richard Bach |

Working with and handling stones while wire-wrapping allows jewelry makers to benefit from having the energies of those stones near at hand. It also helps us get the balance of the jewelry piece "just right", on the visible AND non-visible level. In this case, the balance of the feminine, soft, pink energies of the stone, plus the feminine aspects of the silver, make a positive combination. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...4140222HDR.jpg __________________ Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours. -- Richard Bach |

Fall colors abound with Yellow Jade. :-) One of my order is single-terminated; the others are double-terminated. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...11B0C6DD79.jpg __________________ Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours. -- Richard Bach |

Do you do repairs? (Do you solder?) Your lovely yellow jade pendants reminded me of something in my jewelry box. __________________ I don't lead the parade - I AM THE PARADE! This is not rocket surgery, ya know! Bury the past - and move on to a new tomorrow. |
