Knight of Pents RX as a pro?
How would you read the Knight/Pents RX as a pro regarding a decision? I'm having a hard time thinking anything positive about this. Maybe not taking so long to take action? Any help? |

Usually the Knight/Pents is slow but unstoppable, progressive, hardworking type--also direct and honest, usually. So the person may make decisions in fits and starts, suddenly rather than careful, telling a lie (probably a bad lie) rather than being honest. What you have to note is that rx may mean "opposite" but not in a good way. You get the Knight/Swords or 8/Wands and speed is good. That is what those cards do well. The person moves quickly and efficiently. But if you get an rx, then what the card is best at is blocked. So not doing it the right way, slowly, means problems. He may move fast, but not in a good way; he may lie, but not well. This is not the best way for him to do it. |

![]() Imagine that you knew something needed time to be done right. But the person who is in charge is pushing you to do it fast and won't listen to you. You do it fast, but badly. And the person in charge finally gets the idea and asks you to do it again slowly and right, just as you wanted to do it. That is how I would judge this card. As a kind of reverse psychology. Make a decision that goes against what you're good at (fast rather than slow, multi-focused rather than single focused, etc.), in order to prove to someone that they are wrong. And that you are right in how it ought to be done. Does that make sense? If that answer doesn't work for this question, then I'd pull out the Knight/Pents rx, ask the cards to clarify, shuffle well and put down a clarifier--and I would make sure this time around NOT to use any reversals. Make them all upright. |

oh Jeez. Decided to put a clarifier and got the Devil. So, what's this saying is the action that I should be doing in order to prove them wrong is tied with the Devil tendencies (ego) in myself and the other person? To do what's expected would just perpetuate the Devil cycle? Last edited by liberated inferno; 25-10-2012 at 10:34. |

And this explains the Pentacles, too. The Magician is a trickster who uses words to get what he wants. But the Devil uses things. We're back to the woman at the board meeting and the coffee. She used this actual thing--coffee--to make her point rather than using words. She also played off these men's ego, habits, addictions--she didn't try to change their egos, habits addictions, she used them. That's the Devil. And like the Devil, she was in control the whole time. Just remember, the Knight/Pents rx is the answer; the Devil is clarifier, which means it says the same thing in a different way. So keep in mind what they have in common--using things rather than words, physical items to prove your point; doing the opposite of what's expected--and pretending to be an underling while holding the reins. Yes? |
