I feel NO ONE. I have slept in that bed many times, too, through the years. I always say to myself 'I wonder who is in the closet?' but I always fall asleep, anyway.

I do sometimes wonder what my grandparents - (since they both died in the house they must be there somewhere) do think of the whole thing - my interest in sewing (my grandmother was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union), my interest in Tarot, my homosexuality. I was named after my Grandfather John - even though he died when I was in Kindergarten I do remember him reading stories to me and going for walks with him around the block. I have my grandmother's pasta board - funny thing is I remember eating the pasta but not my Grandmother making the pasta - and I do make homemade pasta!

hey, was your grandmother an immigrant? I remember I felt something about immigration. I think it is cool that you have her pasta board. I hope one day you will find yourself in another place, and where you can cook pasta and pizza to your hearts content and use that pasta board on a regular basis too!

Awesome place Tarotbear! That is not the woman I saw in the bedroom.
I didn't get much except someone being in the closet. But this is a great chance to practice! I appreciate all the effort to put these up

Both my grandparents are immigrants; Grandpa came over when he was 4, and Grandma came over when she was 11 or 12, so they were here learning English from a young age. They got married in 1917, in Connecticut. This is their wedding picture. How do you like grandma's shorter 1920's style wedding dress? Sorry, I don't have a larger photo.

My parents got married in the same church, and had the reception in the back yard of this house.

WOW! lovely pictures, TB. you're fortunate to have them and I LOVE your grandmothers wedding dress!

Your mothers is too. She is a very slender, pretty lady, TB. Your grandmother (as a young woman) was not the woman I saw there--so I'm thinking it must have been Emily I saw. again--nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

Wink

Well! I talked to my friend Kate tonight and asked her about her experiences after telling her what we did here - and her eyes opened as big as saucers!

She says that there are other 'lurkers' on the first floor where my Mother lives, and when she first came into the house years ago she had an impression that someone did hang themselves in the stairs in the front hallway! She told me that a friend (Neil) told her that he came over to the house to visit my brother and his wife Mary on a visit and suddenly he had all sorts of 'heebie-jeebies and Mary (who is half native American) said to him 'Yes, there is someone here - but this room is safe.' (!!!) Kate did say that the idea that the rocking chair is inhabited by it's former owner who is confused as to why she isn't in her own house was quite an idea but not without it's realm of possibility. She, too, has seen the woman in the black dress with the full skirt.

She says the night she spent in Emily's bed - there is a spirit in there. Kate was not used to seeing many spirits at the time, but there was a woman in there who stood next to the bed - but Kate said she feels that the spirit was there to 'guard' her and was not a threat or a menace. Kate did not feel there was anyone in the closet as much as Sandy always said there was - however - Sandy did tell her 'not to go down the cellar!'

Sandy is no longer with us, so I can't ask her.
