Sodalite?
Randomly found this in a drawer in my house. Have no idea where it came from. I was ironically thinking to myself how a year ago I would have laughed at anybody reliant on crystals for healing but have been changed so much by them, next thing you know I open a drawer and I find this... http://oi50.tinypic.com/qoc55e.jpg |

Yes, that's absolutely sodalite! Very pretty piece too.

How weird that it just turned up like that and you have no idea where it came from. I read somewhere that crystals come into our lives as and when we need them, maybe you should look up the metaphysical and healing properties of sodalite, it might explain why you found it now (however that still won't explain where it came from )

I am much more grounded and have more self control than previously. I still have a long way to go. |

Interesting. Glad to hear that you are experiencing something positive. I recently bought a few. I am particularly drawn to sodalite and just bought a sodalite crystal yesterday myself. |

I have a sodalite chip bracelet that I wear often. I find it very centering and calming. Yours is a very pretty piece. [(:] |

Metaphysical Properties: It has been said that the longest distance you will ever travel is the journey from your head to your heart. This is the gift of Sodalite. It clears up mental confusion and reestablishes inner peace. Sodalite strengthens the power of mind over body and bridges the gap between your thoughts and your feelings. Eliminates Fear and Guilt better than any other stone! Fosters knowledge, learning proficiency, consciousness, communication and wisdom. Helps get along with others and aids in "Group Work", particularly for mediators and peace makers. Good for healing rifts in partnerships and relationships, and helps bring an end to arguments or disagreements. This stone helps us unite the logical with the spiritual. It also help free us from old behavior patterns that no longer serve us. Wonderful stone for creative types, balancing both sides of the mind, and allowing you mind to come up with the emotional expression of your ideas in physical forms. |

that is a pretty stone. and, psychicpaula, thank you for what you posted. I have a few pieces of sodalite too. I was always attracted to it, but I find your story, MetaphysicalJohn, of how you found it quite interesting!
