Since I started on the spiritual path and quest that are at the center of my life, I decided a while back to read, again, the Old Testament Gospel according to John. I wanted to revist the (supposed) utterances of Jesus.

I was quite amazed, because this "new" reading gave me a completely different understanding of much of what Jesus is reported to have said.

It would be long to go into this, but I realized, without a single doubt, that Jesus was as spiritually enlightened as Buddha or any of the other great incarnations (Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, etc., etc.). All the messages he passed on are spiritual messages to the nth degree (at least to my mind).
