Wow, that extraordinary to be able to download and see the Cary sheet close up. I'm really struck by several things all at once. First of all, I've never seen a devil like that on any other card - - he seems to be forking people up to put into his sack - rather reminiscent of portrayals of the Devil as eating the damned. (Lucifer devouring Judas Iscariot 1512), and the Devil on the Rosenwald sheet has a pitchfork, but no basket...)
