For biographical sketches of expected presenters, check the thread in the Conference area:

Shalott - let the balls roll your way

Talking of costs, though these are listed on the site and in past Newsletters, here are the costs for the full Conference if paid prior to 22nd May 2005:
  • Complete Conference: 1st - 6th July 2005 Inclusive

    Early Registration Reduced Prices

    Single: A$ 300 [Concession: A$ 210]
    Couples: A$ 375 [Concession: A$ 260]

These work out, at today's exchange rates, to approximately:

    Single: € 175 [Concession: € 123]
    Couples: € 219 [Concession: € 152]

    Single: US$ 210 [Concession: US$ 147]
    Couples: US$ 263 [Concession: US$ 182]
Hence why we're also requesting and relying on donations and support - the prices were set to ensure all those who have an interest in Tarot are able to manage to have funds to register, with billetted accomodation also available (though limited).

It does mean that we are seeking financial support from myriad places to support (firstly) airfares of our presenters attending (none of whom are being paid for attending and presenting, by the way - they are each donating their time and expertise).

Donations may be made with Jeannette at Tarot Garden (just mention the Conference) - small amounts do make a difference, but I'm so new at trying to encourage donations... all funds via PayPal at my jmd@association.tarotstudies.org account which does not specify the purposes of the monies (or which state the sum as a donation towards the Conference) will likewise be solely used for Conference support (firstly airfares of presenters, then those of other participants).

Kat's session

For those with at least basic computer skills, a digital collage workshop using Photoshop to layer public-domain images to create your own personalised tarot cards.

I'll show you the tricks of the trade, how I managed to blend images from sources as diverse as frescoes and illuminated manuscripts to create reasonably "real" looking whole images for Golden Tarot.

This will be a hands-on practical session with laptops kindly supplied by sponsors (or bring your own, if you have Photoshop or Paintshop Pro version 6 or above).
