relationship spread
a few weeks ago my boyfriend asked me to do a relationship reading for him, involving me--this was kinda tough, but it led to a good talk about the direction of our relationship. Anyway, at the time I did not know any relationship spreads but I found myself using this one. (I used it again on a friend a few days later and found it to be accurate in her case as well.) Here it is: (I'm still working on it some, trying to refine it) 1*******2 ****3**** 4***5***6 ****7**** ****8**** 9******10 1 and 2 are people in said relationship. They are joined together by 3, that is, the essential nature of their relationship, which is broken down into compatibility (4) chemistry (5) and sexuality (6). 7 is the present state of the relationship, 8 is an obstacle, and 9 and 10 are possible outcomes. there's something about its structure that's not quite right, but I am not sure what. any tips?

oh, and also...
this is perhaps petty, but it's not a very pretty spread either--it doesn't flow smoothly. So if anyone has any suggestions on improving the aesthetics of the spread that would be great as well.

Mmmmmmh... I dont have any idea about making own spreads, but will try to help here. My suggestion is to eliminate card 10 and left only one possible outcome. About the layout... maybe something like one of these (not sure where its better to place 3): ____3____ _4__5__6_ _4__5__6_ ____3____ 1___7___2 1___7___2 ____8____ ____8____ ____9____ ____9____ It looks ugly anyways hehehe. I just changed it because with this layout you dont broke the time line of the relationship. Thats why i moved up cards 4-5-6 (mind-soul-body) of the relation, guess is this what you are trying with those ones. Well, dont know if this can work, but hope it can give you new ideas. Anyways take a look at Umbrae relationship spread, that one works good. |

my interpretation: 1 .......4................9 ...3........6..7..8 .......5................10 2 left to right spreads work a little better for me than vertical layouts, your interpretations should work fine.

Some other things you might want to include are: What's developing Mind, body, spirit compatibility Obstacles and blessings Advice on how to bring out the best in the relationship Have a look around on the net to see what else is out there.
