Trainer/trainee spread
A few months back I was told that I would be starting the training of a new employee. As I was approaching the time when he would be starting, I was thinking that it might be nice to have some insight into how I should approach this. Just some things for me to keep in mind while we started out in this trainer/trainee relationship. I came up with the following - if anyone is interested... ....1.........3 .........5 ....2.........4 1 = Trainee's current situation or state of mind (as it applies to the training and starting the new job). 2 = Obstacles for the trainee (which I need to be aware of) 3 = Something the trainer brings to the relationship 4 = Something the trainer needs / advice for the trainer 5 = How to approach the relationship (for the trainer) This spread did give me some good advice and helped me to approach the training situation with a couple of new outlooks. I hope it can be of some assistance to someone else. ([edited to add:] Bec (Anja) if you wish to post this spread on your web site, you have my permission.)
