The Answer Deck - Friend

Alissa

Two hands, apparently masculine, grasp each other.

One is cuffed, and reaches from the bottom left corner in the picture, to an uncuffed hand that reaches down, from the right hand corner.

The gesture is almost that of someone "helping you up." Supportive.

I've had this card come up in readings, and it always makes the sitter, and/or myself, smile. :)

Well...I don't have much to add, I'm afraid....I agree with your view of the card Alissa....lending a hand, supportive, personal contact. The handshake is a pretty significant gesture, at least in American culture...it symbolizes cooperation, respect, business agreements....many different ideals and values.

Whenever I see this card (which has yet to come up in a reading for me!)....it makes me think of a strong bond, or connection between two people. Friendship on a very deep level. Great card!!! :p

I see a little more into this card.... like it's a freindship of opposites.

One sleeved arm and one bare one.

One young hand and one older one.

One seems to be stronger than the other.

And they come from opposite corners of the card too.

Could this card be saying that it IS possible for people who are unalike to become friends?

I like what you say about supportive freindship.

They don't look to me like they are shaking hands because the hands aren't the right way round.
