Spread for spell casting
For those of you who want to write their own spells: I found in Edain McCoy's Making Magic a spread that may be interesting, the spread tells you whether the spell will be successfull or not: you draw 10 cards 1 = the need or desire on which the spell is based 2 = the hidden underlying need (the root of your desire) 3 = hidden influences acting on the spell could be of your inner self, or influences outside your control 4 = influence of others 5 = the spell's weakness 6 = the spell's strength 7 = the inner-world outcome effect your spell will have in the astral world 8 = the physical world outcome 9 = final outcome 10 = what comes back to you (karmic card) if you get a negative card here you should look if your spell could be harmful to anyone I have not done much spellcasting yest myself, but I think I can learn a lot from this spread. I would like to hear from all you what you think of this !!

The cards are spread in a circle, it's called the The Wheel Divination. But as I did not have space to make a circle I just spread them in a row I'm sure that's not too bad.

Important consideration
Thank you for this spread Wolfspirit - it is indeed very useful. I would strongly recommend anyone considering casting a spell first perform a reading regarding the results of doing so and this spread seems custom made for the purpose. The only real way to take complete responsibility for your actions (such as casting a spell) is to consider the possible consequences.... Indeed a negative result to a reading with this spread is ample reason not to cast the spell.

Definitely a keeper - thanx a bunch for sharing!! I also think that this would be useful with spells you get from anywhere.
