Zombie Tarot

lunafeline

Has anyone ever heard of this deck? I've had a reading from someone online and it was awful! when they were describing the cards eg, boy stood at the side of a car...there's a bloodied arm hanging out of the window (??)

They were way off base too, I had to politely let them know that I didn't think the connection was strong enough :S

Not something I would like to experience any time soon! Has anyone else had any experiences with this deck?

Zombie Tarot is a brilliant deck , just as well executed as the creator's other deck, Housewives Tarot. From packaging, card stock, and theme, they made this one work.

I bought it originally since I adore the Housewives and almost traded the Zombie since it was a cheap deck that I didn't really use to often, but once I read with it, it went on the keeper list.

There's a even a whole Study Group devoted to this deck right here on AT: http://www.tarotforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=166

Also, search on this board works pretty well; here are a few threads on the deck: http://www.tarotforum.net/search.php?searchid=4914152, this being the longest one: www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=166741

Zombies is pretty popular. I had it. Liked it. It reads fine, and I thought it was funny in a dark, smartass kind of way (same goes for Housewives, though Zombies is darker). May have just been the card reader him/herself.

Zombies is a hoot... ditto Housewives... and the packaging/presentation is superb. Get it. :)

I think it was just the guy reading for me lol. He just came across as very strange indeed...intent on describing the horror and gore and not being as enthusiastic with the actual meanings! lol.

Maybe I was too harsh though as the images I've just seen online look good fun, especially for a Halloween party :D

If you like the idea of this deck but are turned off by the sight of it, try the Housewives Tarot! It's got the same sense of cheeky humor and retro artistic style. Its theme is the stereotypical 1950's June Cleaver-esque housewife, but approached very sarcastically.

A friend of mine has this deck and I've pored over it.

I like the twee 1940s style. I like the fact that the "advertisements" in the companion-book are for shops and businesses that you see in the backgrounds throughout the deck. It seems to work well - I've rarely found a deck that didn't, in fact, even decks I dislike intensely can give good readings.

Sounds like the guy was lost in his world instead of "reading" for you, the querant... especially if he was so busy telling you about a "bloody arm hanging out the window".

The Zombie is a hilarious, twisted deck with a LWB filled with creative, witty sarcasm! It is a dark comedy. (The Housewives is similar in humor without the dark twist.) If you enjoy one, you will most likely be tempted to get the other. Both are very popular!

The apps for both decks are made by Fools Dog. Even though I have both decks, I just could not help getting both the apps too... just for fun! })

This is a deck that I really want to like, based on good experiences with the Housewives. But I look at that Ace of Wands and I just don't think I can.
