Understanding the Tarot Court

lark

Just came back from the mailbox and what did I find inside but my long awaited 'Understanding the Tarot Court' by Mary Greer.
Haven't had time to do more than glance through it.
It's illustrated with a nice variety of decks.
World Spirit
Robin Wood
Pythagorean tarot
Tarot de Marseilles
Golden Dawn
Thoth
Swiss IJJ deck
Rider Waite
Minchiate Etruria
Shining Tribe
I plan on snuggling up with it later for a good read.
Just wanted to let you all know it is now available.

Thanks for the heads up Lark! I've had this on my Amazon wishlist forever. I had totally forgot that it was going to be released soon. I love all Mary Greer's book and I especially can't wait for a good book on courts. I wish I had it in my hands already.

Sorry I was busy reading!!!:D
It's chuck full of stuff.
It goes through every tradition of looking at the court.
There are many comparison charts, and exercises galore.....
A wonderful section in the back that goes through each court card and tells you
1. Typical roles
2. Personality Styles and Values
3. Stresses, Problems and Weeknesses
4. Sample Occupations
5. Events, Situations Activities
6. Advice
7.Traditional Meanings
8. Reversed

Myers-Briggs Comparison Chart.
Golden Dawn Correspondences.
Court card dialoges
What court card roles do you play in your life?
Practice readings ect. ect.

In chapter 8 you bring together all the things you've learned and want to take away from the systems you like and you make up your own tarot court.
A very good book in my opinion.
It is fair and doesn't focus on just one way to do it.
It's a big book too 265 pages.
I'm still reading, I'm in the middle and am just into making up my own court.
A very through look at the Tarot Court.

Well worth the money.
Go get it Kissa!
