Thoth/Golden Dawn/Thelema/Kabbalah resources

Zephyros

I thought it would be nice to have an index of resources both for new students as well as more experienced ones in a sticky thread. I'm asking for suggestions and links to both free and non-free sources, articles, sites, publications, podcasts, etc. Shoot, anything you can think of. Threads with lists that can be mined for their resources are also welcome.

There may already be a thread like this in the Media forum, but I think one right here where it matters would be good and it would allow questions from new members and students to be answered more easily. Also if someone can find that thread I would appreciate it, I'm just going to a workout now and can't.

After I get enough suggestions I will make them into a pretty list and post it as a sticky.

Thanks in advance for your help!

These podcasts are fantastic IMO, clear not too long about 25 minutes covering all sorts, the lesser ritual of the pentagram banishing and invocations aspects middle pillar exercise, HGA etc. He runs through some of for you them and you can listen and hear the vibration of the god names in the right places and what they sound like. It can be disconcerting though if you have fallen asleep to a segment and get woken up in the middle of the night by these sounds :joke:

These Thelema podcasts look interesting, created and run by women only, ( for all though) I just listened to one of them briefly on the subject of the Babalon.

This site has articles and links. Last January, I think Lon Milo Duquette was giving Thoth tarot readings for that month! I missed that unfortunately. Hopefully he will do it again this year.

Nice idea. Thanks Zephyros. Can we also have short descriptions what the material contains, otherwise I think the helpfulness of the list will be limited.

I would of course add the Book of Thoth which can be found online for example here: http://hermetic.com/crowley/book-of-thoth/
For a simpler explanation of the Thoth tarot I recommend DuQuettes "Understanding Aleister Crowleys Thoth Tarot". Which cannot be found online legally.

I also like Thelemapedia for researching stuff: http://www.thelemapedia.org

I am not sure if we should include all those libri or if the list would then become overwhelming.
Liber 777 is a nice reference-cheatsheet.
In Liber 333 (Book of lies) are the Thelemic versions of the pentagram and hexagram rituals (and other stuff i do not understand.)
Liber O contains the traditional (golden dawn) pentagram and hexagram rituals.
Liber 95 is a nice tale about the tree of life.
Liber al vel legis is the original source of the hermit/star confusion.

Good ideas all, keep them coming, even "obvious" ones are good.

Since my vision is that the list serve both new as well as experienced students I would like the Libri to be included together with a short statement about what they are. Easier said than done, of course, both because I haven't read all of them and also because they are seldom the type that can be easily described. But when I start compiling it I'll see how it goes.

This might help.

Scroll down to section 3. It's a list of most of the libri in numerical order, complete with Crowley's brief description.

if you've never read either ITC or the black pearl there are many wonderful essays on the thoth deck: theory, application, ritual use. soror meral's writings on the deck are truly inspired imho.
