I understand why you made the choice to show the cards in the best orientation, but people are used to most apps being flexible depending on how we turn the device. It would be better to have the app respond to the tablet's orientation so the user can choose which is most important to them, either maximizing the images or stable orientation. As an example, some people may prop up their tablet on a stand and therefore can't easily rotate the device back and forth.
My bigger issue with the Android app is the way the Back button behaves. Within the Android OS, the normal behavior for that button is to take you back to the previous screen. In your apps, it unfortunately completely closes down the app and causes you to permanently lose any current reading! This has happened to me so many times! You can't really blame the users for hitting the Back button accidentally since we expect the button to work "properly" for the operating system and our fingers naturally go there due to muscle memory. Forcing us to use special touch-screen-only "back to menu" buttons is awkward and unusual in Android. Your programmers could achieve a much more seamless and native Android feel if the issue were fixed.
It's otherwise a lovely app and I enjoy it a lot! If I could avoid the frustration of lost readings, I'd love it even more.
