RWS Tarot 101 Five of Pentacles

Five of Pentacles

When I look into the Five of Pentacles I see two people walking in the snow, one of them ill/injured on crutches, the other barefoot, covered with a shawl. It is snowing, a scene of total despair. Behind them is a stained glass window which seems like that of a church. Is this a place of sanctuary? There is not a door to enter, just the window. Dose this mean they are unwilling to accept charity or is the door just around the corner. Perhaps this is a struggle they have to face on their own, a personal/relationship problem, but even then help is there if they would only reach out for it.

Spiritual loss often proceeded or accompanies a financial loss. This may be a warning of depression, the dark side of the soul, where you stumble around because you cannot see the light or help that is right in front of you.

Direct: Poverty, loss of money, loss of family/friends, losing your job, feeling left out, rejected, illness, depression.

Reversed: Conditions improve, new job, support from family and friends, finding sanctuary,

Five of Pents

Upright: Physical or material challenges in whatever area was asked about...not insurmountable stuff just those everyday things to be dealt with...

Reversed: The daily physical and material challenges begin to feel like a strain which could cause someone experiencing them to forget or lose sight of the aide that is often nearby...
