LS Pagan Tarot - The Hermit

Disa

This was today's card of the day for me. It's also my life path number- 9. Today is my daughter's birthday.

In the card I see the woman sitting at her desk apparently searching for an answer. She is in a small room piled high with books. It seems she has taken respite to seek her answers, yet she's not totally isolated on a mountaintop.

This card shows that in a modern world, we can still find our own quiet time and do the studying or soul-searching we need to do.

What are your thoughts on this card?

I like to think that this card depicts the first part of an initiation sequence, that continues with the Hanged Man,

I like to think that this card depicts the first of 4 parts of an initiation sequence,
that continued with the Hanged Man, the begin of the ritual of initiation,

then goes on to the Star

and is then culminating in the Death card = re-birth after having encountered the Goddess and completed her initiation.

In this card I see our seeker literally burning the midnight oil. She is surrounded by her books of magic and her BoS and in keeping with the ways of Wicca here now she is writing her initiation vows and how she envisions her initiation ritual to commence, what parts, personal and meaningful to her should be included.....
