Forest Folklore - Six of Cups

The man casts a long shadow, he is looking at the pile of cups, but doesn't notice the naked girl sitting by the body of water. For that matter, she doesn't seem to notice him either. Shadows tend to make me think of your shadowy/dark self, if that is the case, he is so focussed on the losses, and setbacks, or a loved one that the relationship has ended, he doesn't notice something which is here and now in the present. Sort of makes me think that he can't notice something that is plain as the nose on your face, in a manner of speaking.

he is looking at the cups, dwelling on his emotions (cups symbolizing the emotions) and because of that he does not notice the woman, if only he let go and look up.
