Smaller Sized Oracle Decks?

G6

Hey G6!

The Magic of Flowers Oracle

I was checking out oracles today at the new age shop. I came across this deck and thought of your thread! :) the cards are smaller than most tarot decks. Really easy to shuffle. :)

Thanks for the rec, MS9! I think this is a good thread to keep going because smaller sized oracles are in need!

These seem interesting. Does anyone know what size these are? The info wasn't readily available in the description.

Seems like there is a core group of cards and then many others by different artists. I'm not sure about collab decks, but if you get to pick individual cards I suppose I would find a group I like together.

ETA: Just found out these are poker size!!! It's a cool idea to just keep adding more cards (solves deck boredom) and everyone has an individual/custom set.

If it helps, the inspiration behind all Oracle-X cards is the same person who ensures that all the cards interact and work well with each other keeping the decks vision intact.

There have been 8 artists contributing to the project (3 artists with 1 image each, 1 artist with 2 images, and 1 artist with 3 images, 1 artist with 28 images, 1 artist with 60 images, and the final artist creating the remaining 228 images), and just to confuse matters, there are two versions of card 131 by different artists!

The project is not even yet half way through, but all current work is by a single artist.

The Answer Deck is TINY and packs a punch. Also, have you consider Choquette's oracles ? They may also be small...

I'm seeing this post a bit late, but I would like to recommend the Messenger Oracle (nice pocket size)

http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/messenger-oracle/

and one of my personal favourite, the Journey Oracle

http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/journey-oracle/

I really love the latter. The cards may look a bit same-y, but I find that the thoughts behind them are really interesting and full of playful references (for example, "Beauty" represents a beautiful woman in the same position as Botticelli's Venus rising out of the sea, but she is patched up with pieces of metal, which makes me think of our beauty criteria, of the way our story changes our bodies...).
