Triangular decks?

tarotbear

Someone once sent me a postcard of a deck in the archives of The Cloisters that has oval cards. I think I once posted a pic on AT to see if anyone could identify the suits. One wonders how a medieval deck that had to be cut by hand - wouldn't squarish cards as we know them have been easier to cut and keep a uniform size?

Never saw a triangular card. Once saw some eqyptian playing cards in the shape of mummy cases, though!

The 78th Fool

I saw the Egyptian Mummy Cards too - rather cool!!
I thought these were even more bizarre though! (See attachment)

It's just so fun to see any deck of cards (tarot or otherwise) in unexpected, unusual shapes! Even if they're just for collecting. My son (an avid poker player) gets a kick out of unusual cards, too! He has poker cards (Bicycle, I think) that have a totally black background with white images. He also has a round deck, and an 'oblongish' deck. He also has a clear plastic deck. Among many others... It's fun to have them extra-big or extra-small, too!
