Testing Personal Energy

FourLeafClover

Okay, so, I'm a total newbie. I'm going through a number of large (and good!) changes right now and I"m not always really sure what's going on in my head. I feel like I've got a lot of chaotic energy going on, and it's hard to identify.

Can someone reccommend a spread that's good for getting a... well, getting a reading on one's personal energy? One that doens't need a specific question?

Any help at all would be appreciated! :)

No one else has answered, so this fool will rush in. Several ideas come to mind:
1. You said you wanted to identify the energy. You could do it by using the elements, divide the card into suits and pick:
a cup card for emotional energy,
a sword for mental energy,
a pentacle for financial energy,
a wand for a direction to focus your work.
(Element experts, please jump in and correct any misdirection here.)

Or you could use cards from the full deck for something like this:

1 . . . . 2 . . . . 3 . . . . 4

1 -- where should I direct my emotional energy?
2 -- where should I direct my physical energy?
3 -- where should I direct my spiritual energy?
4 -- my best, next move

At the least, splitting the energy into parts would help you become aware of what's in the chaos.

Let me know if this helps at all!

Fool #2 says: :)

I use a Pentagram spread both with and without a question in mind. Naturally you could modify the value for each position as you wish, but here's the basic start:

1=where I am now
2=where I'll be in near future
3=what to watch for, what to notice
4=who's my influence now (could also be: "right" path)
5=overview

...............5...............

......1................2....

..........3.........4...........

Well, that's supposed to be Pentagram-like!

This is one of my very favorite spreads. Hope you like it too.

H iFourLeafClover,

I found this "Who am I" spread in the Complete book of Tarot Spreads, maybe this will help.
............7...........
..........3.....4......
.......6..1...2..5...

1- How I feel
2- What I know
3-What I belive
4-.. and what I will hold on to
5-What I don't know
6-..maybe just suspect
7-This is also who I am.

Or you could do a CC, it is always a good standby for a general reading.
