Any good tarot movies?

I LOVE the title of that movie - Things You Can Tell Just By Looking at Her. But I read the synopsis on Netflix and have no desire to see it. :( Just like I love the title of the film "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" but only made it ten minutes into the second dvd. :(

So, I've seen THE tarot movie. There's that indie on Vimeo I'm going to checkout - a doc on the Marseilles deck.

Check out Frightmare for a good laugh. The 1974 one with Rupert Davies and Sheila Keith.

makes me wonder if we, as an AT community could come up with the storyline for a humdinger of a film with tarot as the pivotal theme.

then we could have fun deciding who we could cast in it :D

Wow, that does sound like fun! Why don't you start a thread? :)

well the movie ''Now And Then'' has some scenes that show the young girls go to a tarot reader to find out about a dead guy they thought they made contact with in the cemetary during a seance

''Four 12-year-old girls grow up together during an eventful small-town summer in 1970. ''

She gives him "Love Potion , an elixir which can potentially force anyone of the opposite sex to instantly fall in love with him. He shares the potion with his friend, Diane, and together they embark on a "scientific evaluation" that gets out of hand''

I tried to watch Carnivàle and tried to love it when it first came out but it was just TOO. DANGED. DUSTY. I couldn't handle all that dirt and dust. Gave me the heeby jeebies.
Don't take this wrong, but that's the funniest reason I've ever heard for not wanting to watch something

If you can ever get past that, it's excellent (maybe keep a container of sani-wipes nearby while watching?) Great writing, spooky twisty plots and some really quality acting. The actor that played Ben Hawkins truly awed me with his ability to convey emotion without speaking a word. I remember one scene where he went from blazing anger to understanding and compassion tinged with disgust and he barely even moved a facial muscle, but it was all right there, clear as glass.

I know, I know, it's funny/weird/strange. But it's like fingernails down a chalkboard for me. I can't touch dusty dry powdery dirt, or have it on my feet, or anywhere on me. Oh LORD HEEBY JEEBIES EVERYWHERE. It was just too dry.
