Although I won't be trimming mine, I understand exactly,,,the first time I looked at them, it hit me right away that the borders did not seem to match the artwork. Like a stone set in the wrong kind of ring.
It didn't keep me from sitting there with my mouth hanging open, though. Her artwork is sublime, and the book is FANTABULOUS. I love the stories.
And to the Devil with it if anyone thinks I'm going to die leaving decks unused because they were rare or too pretty. It's like watching Antiques Roadshow,,,,when you see something pristine and untouched, it's cool. When it's actually been held, used and loved it takes on a whole other dimension of cool to me. It may not be worth as much, but is infinitely more fascinating.
