The OTO is a thelemic organisation, but it differs from the other big thelemic organisation (AA) in that it's more wordily. You can be a member of the OTO with no magical interest or practice (at least at some levels), unlike the AA which requires that. It's more fraternal and about community, than AA which is 1-on-1 (again, in theory).
