Wanting opinions on how to grid crystals

Hello! I'm new to the forum and have been lurking and learning... just making sure I don't ask the wrong questions!

Just a little history: My best friend and I have been getting in to feng shui, crystals, and tarot for the last year. She and her husband have been going through a rough patch and have been undergoing medical infertility procedures without luck. She has also undergone acupuncture and for a long time was on a strict diet and chinese herbs. Imho she has reached a point where she has hit a wall and I'm a little concerned she is officially depressed. I love her like family. She has been taping various crystals to her everyday for extra energy and fertility. Moonstone always as well as many others. We went for a glass of wine after work last night and she had a total of 9. She is doing everything she can think of!

We have been reading different books and spoken with the crystal store associates about gridding crystals for her bedroom specifically. We are torn because in practicing feng shui, which encourages crystals, but we not sure the best way to grid the bedroom. Her bedroom is on the second floor in the skills and knowledge portion of the house. She has crystals under her mattress and by her bed.

Any suggestions on how we can better grid the room vs gridding the house? There are so many crystals to use and its difficult to figure out the best ones and where!

Interesting that you should bring this up, Sirrah, as we were just wondering about grids here in the Crystals thread. I will try to find some links, because I am very curious about grids and would like to try them.

And, welcome to AT and to the Crystal studies! :D

I should state right up front here that whatever knowledge I've amassed so far about crystals has mostly to do with individual stones, not with the practice of gridding (or combining them in any meaningful and positive ways yet, actually). I also know just about zero when it comes to feng shui.

However, other people more experienced than I am do know such stuff, and some post about it. I can't vouch for the following website's accuracy (and I hope it's okay to link to it here...?), but it offers info that I think is meant to address questions like yours, Sirrah: gridding with crystals ideas

At the very least, it may give you some food for thought and get your mental wheels spinning...good luck!

Interesting link, Frac_ture! I went and looked up all kinds of stones, and I think I might try the grid!

Sirrah, I think your friend could always try that grid and see if it works for her...then if it does, she can begin to create her own, perhaps? Or, she could make an appointment with a crystal and Feng Shui specialist...? Also, I am certain there must be books on the topic...

Also, as both Hemera and Frac_ture have noted in the crystal studies threads, it can take time for a certain stone to work. Not all stones have immediate impact, so maybe your friend could try the grid for about 6 months to see if anything comes of it - perhaps she could record her observations for future grid making. Just a few suggestions :)

maybe she is trying too many stones at once, and not giving them enough time to do anything significant...when we are anxious, it is normal to try, and to then discard, several things at the same time, and move on quickly out of frustration if they don't immediately provide relief/results...but if we try one approach at a time, and give it time to work, we can then eliminate what doesn't work, or keep what does...Just a thought...

Thank you all very much for your replies!! I reread my post and can see where it sounded like we had 9 glasses of wine! There used to be a time in my life where I would have been young enough to try that and could bounce back, but nowadays I barely finish a second or I feel it the next day. :)

I hadn't thought about there being a time lapse. I guess we were worried about the best method of charging them since I've read that different types of charging produces different effects... The bad part is that of course the waiting to get/find out if you're pregnant can be such a roller coaster. I wish I could take that burden off of her. I'll mention using less too. With all the extra hormones she's on it could be that the crystals are overpowering her and it could be why she has been experiencing so many scattered thoughts and feelings. Its possible the crystals may not know exactly how they should be working.

We've been following the black hat form of feng shui. I think the authors name is Karen? Carter and I believe she will answer questions for a fee. We'll check it out.

I love the new threads about each crystal! Thank you for being hospitable to the newbie!

Hi Sirrah

Just a suggestion, maybe try gridding a photograph, that way it's easy to set up & doesn't mess with the Feng Shui (which I admit to knowing v little about ). The best way to determine which grid to use & what stones is to dowse. Various grid shapes are the Star of David (sometimes called seal of Solomon), square (cube), pentagram, triangle (upwards, physical, downwards, spiritual) & diamond - to name a few.

First dowse to ask which grid would help with fertility & conception, then which stones to use - maybe dowse a selection of ones that are useful in that area or even a list in a book. Then dowse to see how long the grid needs to be set up. She could always incorporate other techniques with this depending on her beliefs such as lighting a candle, incense or saying a prayer or calling in the Angels or other deities.

Also by setting up a grid around a photo she wouldn't need to carry all of the crystals around with her. You can use a quartz point to charge the grid & set the intention.

I think sometimes we forget (especially when reasonably new to a way of connecting with the world around us) that it is perfectly OK to rely on our own intuition and inner knowledge to create that which we need.

Hi Sirrah!

I just came across this crystal healer on youtube and I thought of your friend. Maybe the information will help her on her quest. I like the fact that she suggests not necessarily a "grid" but a NEST of crystals for fertility issues. (which feels to me more in line with the ideals of feng shui as well) I am also thinking maybe your friend would benefit from obtaining some crystal eggs.

yes , I've seen many great crystal grids tutorials on youtube I love it , but I am so full of doubtrs about it D: haha I dont know if there are like requirements toc reate your own grids or what , I guess you need quartz points at least one central one , or something like that or depending on hat you're planning the shapes and whatnot , the positions numbers and size of the cristal and the grid , I even heard or a house-wide grid all ov er the front and back yard and everything X) haha

Searching the forum for threads on crystal gridding, rather than start a new one.

Does anyone here use grids? What size stones do you prefer to use?

I have a plethora of jewelry-sized quartz points, and I'm thinking that I could install a crystal in each corner of my new studio, to help dedicate that space.
