For b-day reasons, am looking at a different kind of cartomancy...
I've been trying to find resources that not only talk or show beautiful old playing cards--my real interest is finding a Latin-suited deck resource to go with my Fournier 50-card reprints...anyway, here's the original thread link for Spanish suited cards:
http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=52867&highlight=spanish+playing+cards
But recently I found these beautiful items:
Card Games: Victorian Patience and other Games, for One or More Participants:
Bullfinch Press Book
Little, Brown and Company
ISBN 08212-1973-1
Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards
Julia Parker
Thomas Dunne Books: an imprint of St. Martin's Press
ISBN 0-312-327-40-4
What I really want to find is a book on Latin-suited cards and Spanish-language is okay...but until then, am doing one card draws...
I saw but did not buy this yet...it's a card-a-week calendar book with many transformation cards as its illustrations...it might tempt one to cut out the card samples and make a period deck of one's own...have only seen it at Barnes and Noble...unfortunately still searching for the title on google and bn.com...
Placeholders above...
Please share new to you resources! I love period illustrations, so period reprints are especially welcomed...
Regards,
Cerulean
