Mythic Tarot - Three Pentacles

rwcarter

On the other side of grapevine laden trellis, Daedelus stands on some stairs above three patrons, who each offer him a pentacle for work they want him to do.

Overview
  • initial completion
  • the first stages of materialization of a project
  • establishing a firm position at the beginning of one’s career
  • hard work, difficulty and risk are necessary before material security can be achieved
  • material rewards are contingent on one’s character as much as business skills and hard work
  • inability to know one’s own limits or belief that one can do as one pleases regardless of the consequences to others often leads to the collapse of the early success shown in this card
  • the need to consider the future in terms of the work that needs to be done and of one’s own ability to handle it
  • proof that a project is workable, and more detailed work can soon begin
  • achieving a secure platform from which to continue and perfect one’s craft
  • public recognition, work is admired and judged as good
Random Thoughts
  • biting off more than one can chew, taking on too much
  • letting success go to one’s head
  • being blinded by the prospect of money
  • the need to be selective in the tasks that one undertakes
  • being hired for a job
  • the grape vines suggest continued growth (there is an additional bunch of grapes on the left vine)

The keyword/phrase I came up with in my workbook on 14Mar92 was "early success".
