A box I made for my Crystal Tarot

Sepheryn

Hi everyone. I hope I've posted this in the appropriate forum. I recently purchased the Crystal Tarot by Elisabetta Trevisan. I had been eyeing it for a while. Well I love it so much that I made an origami box to keep my deck in! Here's some pics -

What you think guys and girls? Does anyone else like this deck as much as I do?

Don't have the deck, so no opinion on it...but love your box, specially the crystals :) good job!

Nice box. It's origami, you say? Does that mean it's collapsible/unfoldable? i.e. can it hold up to being tossed into a work satchel or stacked in a drawer with other boxes?

Trevisan's deck is one of my main reading decks for others, and probably my favorite non-scenic pip deck (although occasionally I do a pendulum-swing back to the Tarot de Marseille's elegant simplicity). Actually off to do some more readings with it, in fact.

I not only love that amazing box you have made for yourself, but have been tempted so much to buy the deck myself that I am gonna place an order for the deck in three days' time :) On another thread, I debated getting the deviant moon or robin wood. You have solved that dilemma for me. Thank you

Good choice! :-D

And Sepheryn, the box is lovely, I tried myself a few days ago to make my deck a paper box and failed miserably.

Hey, what kind of paper did you use to make the box? Is it sturdy at all? and do you have directions you could share for the folding used to make the box? :D I'd like to try something like this assuming it can withstand being in my purse.

It looks so nifty and purty!

That is a lovely deck box! Thanks for posting the pictures. I really don't like tarot bags so it is nice to see someone making a box for a change.

Thanks and thanks everyone! Well I used some photo paper that I had because it is sturdier than normal paper. I found a nice crystal pattern, printed that on the photo paper and printed a purple design on the back, for the inside of the box. I found some origami instructions online for making a box from a rectangular piece of paper and I did that. At the moment I'm in the process of making a gold Egyptian box for my mini Egyptian tarot :D

Wow thats so cool Sepheryn, :) I know quite a few people like to make their own bags, but boxes, I would never have thought of that, I think I would like to give that a go :D
