Deviant Moon Tarot--Three of Swords

bht96

Her skin is pale white but her right hand is black, or covered in shadow. This reminds me of the Hermit. In the Hermit, I feel that the black hand represents our delusions that he worked so hard on facing and then to “see through” it; to see the truth. In the 3S, the woman has the black hand of her self-imposed delusions covering her third eye. She is too deluded to see the truth: that she was the one who stuck the swords through her heart, not someone else.
This concept is supported by the third leg behind her. She thinks someone else stabbed her in the back. But, the truth is that it is she stabbed herself in the back. It’s not the words of others that bring pain. We have to forge the words into weapons and we have to turn them on ourselves.
