The New Tarot Handbook - Rachel Pollack

Shade

I'm looking forward to getting this book, as I slowly chew through 78 Degrees of Wisdom. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Eden Gray's work (and it IS "Gray" according to the two old paperbacks sitting in front of me right now :)) since her books are where I got started back in 1971. I don't refer to them much any more but I still use some of her methods.

Just picked this one up and I loved her discussion of Eden Gray's impact on Tarot in the introduction. I have a copy of Mastering the Tarot but I didn't realize that Gray was the first to attempt an easy-to-use tarot book or that most modern readers use her meanings.

I feel like my tarot practice has gotten a little too convoluted and laden with various interpretations of the cards so I'm reading this one as a bit of a breather.
