1 Attachment(s) Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery - The Emperor

The Emperor sits on a throne made of stone. His throne has a pillar on each side and the room has marble floors. Unlike the Empress, we see no sign of nature, but instead signs of structure, society and law. He bears the title "Imperator" which means commander or emperor. He looks impressive and regal wearing his whole suit of armor and his crown. Purple means nobility and royalty. He does not hold his sword at all, but leaves it on his side, and instead has on his hands a crystal ball and a scepter. I think it shows that instead of using his strength and will to dominate others and rule the land, he instead uses his intelligence, prudence and good common sense. Like the Empress he also has an eagle representing royalty. I find that interesting that both the Empress and Emperor face each other (and their eagles), and at the same time, each face their side, Empress with left (female, passive and intuition) and Emperor faces right (male, active, logic).
