Calling Aleister Crowley an occultist is like saying the Bible is a book. There is so much left unsaid.

Reading a decent biography of Crowley will give you a lot of insight into the ideas that run through his deck.

(By the way, if you use the deck for divination or fortune-telling, then you will be an 'occultist' as well.)

Do What Thou Wilt, by Lawrence Sutin is a particularly good one. Excellent read also, and recommended by Duquette and other Crowley-ites. :)
